How To Make A Web Page

In this short tutorial, you will learn how to create the basic layout for your web page.

1: Open a code-writing application. If on a Mac, open up Text Wrangler, or if you are on a Windows computer open up Notepad or Notepad++.

2: Once you have the application of your choice opened up, start of with your with first with the code <!DOCTYPE>. Move on to the next line and write <html lang=en" US">. These codes would create the web page.

3: Next you will wirte the <head> part of the web page. Move on to the next line and write the code <head>.

4: Beneath that indent and write <title>, and fill in the what the title of the web page would be. You would need to close the tag by writing </title> after your title.

5: Next you will wirte the meta charsets. The meta charsets are codes that give details about the web page, but are not presented on the actual page.

9: Write <p> to write the information you want to write. Once you're doen with that end the paragraph by writing </p>.

10:You can create more paragraphs and headings with steps 9 and 8.

11: Once you are satisfied with what you have, end the body of the web page by writing </body>.

12: End the web page by writing <html>. Now you are done!
